Cardinal Flower in full bloom

Lobelia Monet Moment3

The cardinal flowers are simply stunning in the garden now.  Above is Lobelia ‘Monet Moment’.  The key for successful cultivation is a moist soil and being sure the winter rosette remains uncovered.

Lobelia x speciosa Compliment Deep Red

This is Lobelia ‘Compliment Deep Red’...another of our favorites, flowering now.

Thank you for the “tip”. No wonder I could never keep ‘Monet Moment’ in the back end of my yard, since it gets completely covered with snow most years. However, I do have the blue Lobelia, which multiplies impressively every year!
