Double Your Pleasure

Flowering in the woodland garden this week is the diminutive Anemonella ‘Schoaf’s Double’…so very cute. Hardiness is Zone 4a-8b.

We’re also working with a new double form that our research horticulturist, Jeremy Schmidt found on a botanizing trip in Tennessee. Here it is this week in the garden.

  1. how very exciting to find a double in TN! I have a bunch of single whites right now in bloom – and am amazed for how very long, weeks and weeks right through freezing nights – they continue to flower. Will take a closer look now to see if I can find any doubles. Schoaf’s double has also been in flower since early March here in Asheville. Also, but impossible to find locally, all Anemone nemorosa. What a delight they are! PD needs to offer some.
